Early on, my main responsibilites were holding the steel when it was being hammered and moving it to and from the forge
We used a grinding wheel to grind and buff it, although our amateur work left it a little rough
The final shape was shorter than intended because of issues with an early weld
We drilled carefully into the tang so it would fit into the hilt
Our guard was made from a dremeled out piece of a bone for Professor Middleton’s dog
The sword got the name “FrostFlower” because it finally took shape on a day where it snowed and hailed- in April
