This was our first Unity Android game in Casual Games and is very simple but with a lot of room for depth. The player is a superhero who needs to save a hostage from a bullet and stop the villain who shot it by returning the favor. Essentially gameplay is like a turn-based pipe puzzle from Bioshock where the player needs to actually move to each pipe to move it and when they do they can’t rotate it. My personal contribution was the Bullet class, which moves one step for every two the player does, fires again if it hits something that isn’t the hostage, villain, or player, and changes its direction if it enters a pipe. I also did a lot of crunch time bug fixing as a result of early work on the pipes not working well with the rest of the systems.
The team was myself, Matthew Niederberger, Christian Granville, and Terrance Muchler.
